Endeavour this guy'due south site, he's pretty skilful. i've taken the top off several times to clean the viewfinder, prepare the glass etc, it's quite easy.
The only tricky scrap is getting the asa punch off. For that I used a compass which I placed in one of the little holes and turned while holding it as vertical every bit I can, and exerting the force slightly downwards CCW. Make sure you lot brand a notation of what the asa setting was before you take it off as the dial is not fastened to annihilation.
Some other thing to look out for is the battery check push, that is also loose so put a fleck of tape over it when you take it off.
Finally for god'due south sake don't try and clean the bean splitter's mirrored surface with anything other than the gentlest brush with a cotton wool bud!! That's the side facing you when hold the camera as you would while taking a picture. Once this is gone and then yous have no rangefinder left!

Ha, my G is missing the ASA punch and the associated screw. I've been looking for a junked Electro 35 so I could become a replacement. The style to go those off is to get ii eyeglass repair screwdrivers and record them together in an X shape. Stick both points of the drivers in the two holes and carefully turn out. I think a paperclip aptitude into a U shape isn't stiff plenty, but I may be wrong.

Accept yous tried using a compass? I'll try and become some pictures up soon if you are withal having problem. Other affair I apply sometimes is a small bore hole maker, looks like a screwdriver but has just a point and not a shaped head. Think yous exert maximum force if you hold information technology like a joystick (with pollex on top), press downwardly, and plow your hands similar you lot are stirring soup :) (god this sounds weird) Concur the camera tightly with your left hand though!

Try using a pair of launder upwards rubber gloves, and pushing down on the
little screw thing, the safety sticks well to the spiral, using a compass can dimple the asa punch and make it hard to get it back to where it was

I have these things chosen 'snap ring pliers' in diverse sizes and they seem to work OK. Nevertheless, I can never get the ISO lined up right...

To take autonomously and reaseemble the iso dial, I use the point of a caliper. The 2 points that serve to take inner diameters. I simply put the two points on the two marks on the screw, and then with a needle I hold on the ISO calibration. As you lot see, the ISO calibration circle has a very small hole. I hold information technology on with the needle on that hole, and and then adjust the screw with the caliper.
What yachtbirka said is also a proficient option. The rubber sticks to the spiral, so turning information technology should be piece of cake. Use the needle to hold the calibration circle aligned, and adjust the screw with the rubber glove.
Cheers!
Sebastian
